Kyle Gilmore plays Centre and is part of the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and will be part of the Fire Fighters Charity Team taking on the Charity World Record Rugby Attempt on the 12th – 13th May 2017.
Kyle is an on Call Fire Fighter and below tells us why he is taking part.
I love playing rugby and have done for years up until a serious injury put me out for a few seasons. This will be my returning match and what a way to return, with a world record attempt.
Plus I wanted to help the charity the best I could along with raising money. I have tried to help somewhat in the events organisation where I can. Even to the point I was calling all premier league teams to use their pitches in which i then left the main haggling to Alan Knell.
Personally i was born with mental health issues and still struggle with things but i wanted to help my colleagues who need help get the care they need and deserve. This is the best way i could do it
If you would like to help Kyle with his fundraising you can make a donation on his just giving page which is linked below.
