Francis Brown is versatile Player who can play both Fly-half and Full-back and will be part of the Scotty’s Little Soldiers Team taking on the Charity World Record Rugby Attempt on the 12th – 13th May 2017.
He started his international career in Ski Lanka, playing in the Rugby World Cup Sevens qualifier, earning his first cap against the World Cup team from Japan. He was subsequently selected for the Indian National team to travel to Hong Kong for the Asian games, scoring in the fourth minute of his full test debut, against China.
Off the field, Francis has also been heavily involved in Rugby Development, starting as the first YDO for Harlow Rugby Club. Developing a Mini and Ladies section, Francis is currently Harlow’s senior first team coach. He continues his playing and coaching career alongside his role as Head of Rugby at Saint Nicholas Independent School, Old Harlow.
Having previously played in the Scotty’s team and achieving the world record in May 2013, I am looking forward to coming back for round 2, to continually spread awareness about a much needed service. Supporting such a fantastic charity, that provides such crucial support to families, makes every blister worthwhile.
